Naveɘd Photography Exhibition meets Bombay Boogie Nights! (Karlstorbahnof/Heidelberg)

Die Naveɘd Fotoausstellung/Spendenaktion für Pakistan findet am 1. Oktober auf der Party-Reihe Bombay Boogie Nights im Karlstorbahnhof (Heidelberg) erneut statt.  Die Veranstalter dieser legendären Reihe spenden einen Teil ihres Erlöses an das gleiche Projekt wie auch die Naveɘd Fotoaustellung.  Die gesammelten Spendengelder werden an den Rotary Club Metropolitan Karachi weitergeleitet.  Der Club arbeitet schon seit Jahren vertraulich mit lokalen Hilfsorganisationen aus Pakistan zusammen und leistet derzeitig unermüdliche Unterstützungsarbeit in den Flüchtlingslagern, die nach der Flutkatastrophe am Rande der Stadt Karachi aufgebaut wurden.  Die Betroffenen werden dort mit Nahrung, Decken und medizinischer Betreuung versorgt und darüber hinaus arbeiten die Helfer langfristig an dem Wiederaufbau der betroffenen Gebiete und leisten Perspektivenarbeit.  Leistet einen besonderen Beitrag und besucht ab 23:00 den Karlstorbahnhof bei indischen Breakbeats und Reisefotografie aus Pakistan.

1000€ worth of Photos have been sold within the scope of Naveɘds Premier Photography Exhibition and Charity Project to provide relief-support for the persons affected during the Floods of Pakistan.  The deepest of gratitude goes out to everyone involved in making everything possible that needed to happen in order to help those who needed it in the most critical times!

Naveɘd Photography Exhibition/Spendenaktion für Pakistan

Vom 12. bis zum 19. September besteht für Euch die Möglichkeit einen besonderen Beitrag für die Flutopfer von Pakistan zu leisten. Im Rahmen einer Austellung verkaufe ich 9 meiner liebsten, selbst-geschossenen Bilder im Cafe Orange in Heidelberg. Der Erlös wird an lokale Charity Organisationen gespendet, die sich unermüdlich für die Flutopfer Pakistans einsetzen. Es sind die größten Überschwemmungen aller Zeiten die über 20Millionen Menschen lebensbedrohlich in Mitleidenschaft gezogen haben. Jedes Exponat kostet 50€ und könnte wechselwirkend Leben retten und für viele Menschen wieder eine Perspektive schaffen. Man darf natürlich auch gerne mehr spenden wenn man denn Lust und Laune hat.

Bedanken darf ich mich zuerst beim Cafe Orange für die Austellungsmöglichkeit und zusätzlich der i-am Designmanufaktur für den Druck.

Am 12. September eröffne Ich die Austellung um 18:00 im Cafe Orange und würde mich über jede Hilfe, jeden Besucher und jede Spende sehr freuen.

Please pardon the lack of visual output! I'm traveling the northern areas of Pakistan and the impressions of my humble experience will follow soon. After all I owe it to these magnificent people and to this impressive landscape that every little bit of truthful beauty and uniqueness is being conveyed accordingly!

It's all about keeping your eyes open.  Both pictures of the tube-station "Hyde Park Corner" might not seem all too special but you don't have to take the generic tourist tour of Central London in order to capture memorable images.  "The underpass", my personal favourite was taken near Westfield Mall, White City/Shepherds Bush.

black&white...

There is something about these that made me want to post them.  The first one was taken off a bridge near the Karachi City Port.  A hectic place where cars bustle by and anglers despite the noise and traffic lean back in tranquility hoping for that "one" unforgettable catch!  Naturally birds aren't too far from the scene, craving the left-overs...

Karachi is a microcosm of people from many diverse cultures and ethnicities from all over Pakistan as well as other parts of the world and this diversity has come to be a unique cultural amalgam of its own. It's the city I grew up in and the city I love from all my heart!
